I did install locking clips on the bolts. Whoever had the truck before me did not which is more then likely why my yoke was in the shape it was in. I had to purchase a new yoke. Actually a pair of clips came with the rebuild kit I purchased from Patricks even though a new u-joint did not so I figured it must be pretty important.
