The whole tonnage rating is archaic and was already meaningless by the time C40, C50 and C60 trucks were built. I have heard C40 called a 1 1/2 ton light duty and a C50 called a heavy duty 1 1/2 ton, but again the tonnage rating has nothing to do with the actual load capacity. | | |
