For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Nov 2001 Posts: 111 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Nov 2001 Posts: 111 | I have a 46 1/2 ton Chevy that is missing the VIN or serial # plate. The truck has been in the same family for many years so I asked if they had the number. All they ever had was the number from the tag receipt but it is different from most that I have seen. It started with three letters then had four numbers together then a space then two numbers together as follows-- AAA #### ## I can't seem to find any decoders that have a number sequence like this they always look more like A AA #### Has anyone seen any numbers similar and where is a good decoder? I used American Classic Truck parts decoder for a while but it seems to be gone. Thanks Slowgoer
