Do yourself a big favor ... strip your truck bare of all old wires and start fresh. That's what I did and it was not rocket science.
I bought the EZ-Wire kit ... every bit as good as Painless for a lot less money; only $160 -- you can read all my install notes and tips, links to the EZ-Wire harness, etc.

seems like a big project, and it is ... took me 10 days ... but it was also a lot of fun! And if you just tackle the project with a "one-wire-at-a-time" approach, it's easy as pie.
