It could be your springs jumping around due to loose U Bolts or a broken center bolt in the spring..The center bolt not only keeps the leaves in line but the center bolt head sits in a hole in the top of your axle to keep the axle from moving..
Also, try looking at the steering box bolts that hold the box to the frame, be sure they are tight. Don't forget the one on the inside of the frame.
Have someone move the steering wheel back and forth while you look under the front end. Leave the tires on the ground and look and feel with your hands, you may be able to replicate the noise..
