As for the lead issue, when I bought my 52 I went to WallyWorld and got a quart bottle of lead substitute and put it to use. No valve problems. When I bought a used 235 from a friend, it had two burnt exhaust valves, he did not run a lead substitute. I had the shop install hardened seats and moved on.
