For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Apr 2011 Posts: 85 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Apr 2011 Posts: 85 | I have a 52 Chevy truck with a 216 motor - that often is hard to start when it's cold & has set for a while. The engine has been rebuilt, as well as the carb & it has a new fuel pump. What I suspect is the fuel doesn't get to the card before the battery gets low. Question: would a leaking intake manifold gasket impact how quickly gas can can be pushed/pulled to the carb? Also, I've found something called "Intake manifold aligning sleeves" which is a set of 3 rings that go between the manifold and the head; do these help prevent air leaks? Thanks. | | |
