Hmmm... Might be a good idea to fuse them on the outside, I hadn't thought of that. Yes, the running board strips were just what I was looking for.
Haven't bit the bullet yet and may still end up with 3M tape because of the price.
I may just see how the paint holds up since this won't be a work truck.
