The electronics store by me (circuit boards and parts, not stereos and games) carries all kinds of multi-wire mating plugs. The come with the pins ready to solder onto the wires and insert into the plugs. I've used them all over as I rebuild the harness. They even have the modern weatherproof ones you'd see on modern vehicles. Used those when I did the headlights and other stuff in the engine bay.
