Wow, thanks so much for this information! As I'm not very familiar with much of this yet, one more question...
Here is the only picture I have of the clutch inside the cab:
http://imgur.com/vMNAR Is the linkage in your image all located above what's in my picture? I didn't look close enough the few times I've had access to the truck, and obviously I don't know enough about the system as it is. All I know is the clutch is either in the normal "up" position, or it snaps right to the firewall...there is no in-between (you can see the dent at the very bottom of this picture). Is this due to the clutch being out of adjustment? I apologize for my ignorance, my knowledge is limited to passenger vehicles!
