Just joined your wonderful, helpful site. I look forward to showing you our "new" truck, '53 Chevy 3600 flatbed, and getting all sorts of ideas. We plan to fix it up so we can pull our vintage trailer with it. Our trailer is a '57 DeVille in like new condition. Our only improvements to the trailer are a new paint job and a rebuilt door.

Our truck has 61K original miles on it and 8K miles on its rebuilt 235 cu. in. engine. The previous owner is married to a classmate of mine. He purchased it from the original owner for whom I had done yard work when I was in the 6th grade. With provenance like that, there was no way I could pass up the sale.

I tried to show two photos, one each of both the truck and the trailer. But then I remembered the bold print stating don't place photos directly into the post. Guess I'll have to figure out the correct step at a later time since it has taken me the better part of three hours just to get this far. Talk about a lot to learn--wait until I start on the truck!!

May have just figured out how to add photos to this post--belatedly!
