Yes, buy a new set of spring for the front. Not really all that expensive. Adding a
helper or as I understand you to mean an extra leaf, is just a Band-Aid on the
problem.
If you mean you had the springs reached the shop probably annealed the leaves to
reshape them and didn't get the temper right when they retempered them. Also,
the reason your springs were going flat in the first place was due to fatigue. The
grain boundaries were actually tearing apart a little at a time. retempering won't
reform that. That’s why your better off with new material and springs from a
reliable spring shop.
