I have both the 6v and 12v Pertronix ignitions on a 235 and 261 (respectively) and decided to buy their coils, even if they are a little more expensive. I have had no problems.

I have not been successful in finding a source for the zener diode that Pertronics says will protect their units from voltage spikes.
