what exactly is the "fiberglass filler" you're using?
what kind of damage are you trying to fix?
a little more detail and someone may be able to help - mostly with a 'Bondo' type of material you will sand most of it off, it's really meant for minor imperfections like light rust pitting or scratches, rather than real dents and wrinkles
