I hope to avoid stripping the paint anytime soon, but my early efforts to remove that adhesive residue takes a lot of time and does a little damage. I'll try to find something like that 3M product, but that particular stuff will cost much more than 7 bucks a pop before it gets to Sweden. I am sure the professionals here have something similar, environmentally friendlier, and almost but not quite as good.
I might even try a heat gun.
