I am having a hard time believing this is actually causing you trouble. It should be very extremely apparent where the leak is coming from. There are no moving parts and all the components are right there in plain view. Just simply looking at it should be adequate. If you are concerned about something being plugged unhook the 2 lines and see if they are plugged, obviously the pressure line isn't plugged that leaves one, that drains directly into the crankcase. It is a bypass filter, it doesn't filter the oil before it goes into the engine. It just takes a tiny amount and filters it in a parallel system and returns it to the crankcase. There may very well be something plugged, but that would have nothing to do with it leaking.
