Went to see our local locksmith about getting the glove box lock to "accept" the ignition key (wich is also the door lock key) on the '53 Chevy. He says it can be done, but he does not have the kit needed for that kind of job. Yes, he says he could probably make a key for the glove box lock, but that's not what's needed for now. Has any of you folks had this done on your vehicle? Can someone tell me about a locksmith who has the tools needed?
