what also works is a basic garden sprayer filled with oil. tee it into the oil pressure gauge fitting and just pump up the system to the desired pressure. that way everything in the system gets lube also you can pack your oil pump with vaseline to ensure a quick build of pressure when first starting the engine. this will prime the pump faster than just cranking. just my two cents MO
