Having said that, I doubt that a 41 engine would have been put in a 45-46 truck when new. Military applications were gobbling up engines as fast as Chevy could make them... One other time I saw an engine serial number stamped on a body ID plate along with the body serial number. And that's good for you seeing that it matches the title VIN.
