just finished ours with B/C C/C and painted the cab gloss silver and the fenders/running boards with a charcoal semi-gloss/satin clear. Used a flatening "paste" in the clear. 30 minutes after the fenders were sprayed I thought oh crap this didn't work the way I thought, too much gloss. cleaned up and went home. Looked at it in the morning and "crap" again, yep too glossy for sure. Waited a few days, after talking to a buddy, and the 6th day wham! perfect! a smooooooooth semi-gloss/satin finish. Don't know why but it took about a week for the shine to go away. Things I learned 1) measure the amount of flattener you add to the clear and make notes. 2) spray a test panel and wait a week for the gloss to come down. 3) remember this is different than the regular B/C C/C in that you can NOT rub it out, if you do the shine will come back, so make sure everything is clean(parts, gun, etc), you can respray though.
