#89794 08/11/2002 9:13 PM | Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 208 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 208 | I replaced the positive cable from the battery to the starter with "2/0, 2 ought" cable. The po had about 3 feet of 4 ga cable going to a kill switch on the firewall, then about 2 & 1/2 feet of 6 ga cable going from there to the starter. I couldn't believe the difference. The starter now spins like a 12 volter. Thanks to Tom Kelly at Kelly Marine on the bayou in Jeanerette for pointing this out to me and makin' up a new cable for me.
