Yup I tapped the threads out and cranked in some 3/8 16's
The truck has been sitting in storage apart for almost 20 years now - so I guess I cannot expect these vacant holes to be smooth like a 2008 engine
The thing is starting to have a heartbeat now that I am the owner - out there day and night gettin R Done
Oh and I have a bunch of SS hardware on hand for a bunch of body stuff - on the engine and cast iron I like to use the grade 8 bolts.
