As I kept seeing flaming mouse house pieces flying out of the pipe, I envisioned a little mouse complete with helmet and cape flying out like the circus act "human cannonball". Cracked me up. Gotta find fun where you can!
I checked Craigslist locally, and the prices are all over the place, from $150 basket cases to $4500 race ready engines. I need to find a comparable running engine price, but with no known provinence (ie mileage). The engine runs real smooth with no ticking or noise, and the throttle response is great considering I timed it by ear. Tempts me to keep it in the truck if only the mounting graft job wasn't so poorly implimented.
55 SHAKER, the casting number on the SBC is 3970010, no waves along the block so I guess it is a 350. The engine is the Chevy light blue if that helps any. I also ran the casting numbers on the rams horn exhaust manifolds, they both are 3932461 RH. If I am looking at this correctly, they are both right hand side 1969 Corvette manifolds wo/A.I.R. Most manifolds with that casting number have ports for the air injection tubes. Might be a separate market for them I hope as it will enable more 235 funds.
Thanks guys,
Paul
