Dickson, I have a 58 GMC which came to me with a 235 which I rebuilt and put back in. It had some kind of rubber mount, odd one from who knows where, which was toast from years of oil leaks. I didn't want to reuse it so I took the specs from the original 235 chevy mount as pictured in the tech tips and using a Prina metal press/punch made another mount. Bought the original rubber mount and parts which goes with it from Classic parts. Then because the engine is a little longer than the 270 I welded a piece of 3/16 plate to the cross member with a slight relief cut out under it to help with clearance for mount bolts.
