I have my transmission, 4 speed, setting on a bench for cleaning and painting with the clutch gear facing down. Fluid is dripping down the shaft. When I look in the shop manual I do not see a seal on this shaft. Should I be leaking out this shaft or do I have a problem. I had not planned on rebuilding this tranny as it worked fine when I drove the truck before everything was tore down.
