Aloha brother, I'm not sure what distance you mean. Do you mean center to center BETWEEN the bolts to the clam shell? Your door should show that, there has to be holes there? measure from the 3 O'clock side of the hole on the left to the 3 O'clock side of the hole on the right and you got the center to center distance, Mines a '51 but there the same, any confusion and send me a personal email, my Burb is the same and I'll help you out.
