John, I also have the same question. I have a N.O.S switch on the way and I do not want to fry this thing. There is a old timer's auto electrical shop here in town, when I get my switch I am gonna swing in have them look it over and give the scoop on running this thing on 12 volts. I also hope someone here will chime in and give us some more info.
