You mean hard seats? They can go out but the chances are slim, Its the gas we have to use is the problem, Some gas is very dry(no lead) and that's where the problem begins,And all the stovebolts back then were made out of good cast iron, not the crap we have today,Today is all about saving weight and thin castings.
