"comfortable" top speed would be about 45-50 if your brakes are top notch and the road is decent, regardless of the engine - the brakes and suspension are the real limiting factor, these vehicles weren't built for comfort nor designed with modern roads in mind, at a sustained 50mph the driver is the first thing to give out
