So... when I do find that magical COE I can afford and wants to come home with me... I understand your points as...
1- If it's gonna be a simple "pick up" truck, I could probably use an S-10 frame. Is there a "magic" year for S-10's that is best?
2- Heavier uses, towing/hauling something heavy (car on trailer or on the truck?) I may want a heavier frame.
3- I could build my own frame... (Dave: HELP!!) Any links/suggestions on ideas? Not that I don't understand the concept, but where to start, then hanging especially the front suspension? I imagine the rear is fairly/relatively simple?
I know I don't have a truck yet, but it sure is fun to scheme!!!
