Well, I think I got it figured out the truck started up yesterday for the first time with a 12 volt system.
Now I have a new question:
The EZ wiring harness comes with a key ignition plug attached to the harness. Which ignition do I order from GM that will fit the plug, and will fit into the original key hole (the same size as the lighter plug)?
As far as reviews for the EZ wiring set up goes, I’m so far very happy with it. The instruction book is pretty basic but if I can figure it out I think anyone could.
The only problem I’ve had is the wires to run to the rear end for the tail lights etc. were too short, but adding a few feet of wire was a snap anyway.
I ordered the big harness and found I don’t need more than half of the circuits, but if I ever go with power locks, windows, antenna, ac, etc. I have them handy.
Horvath – I read through your page a few times, but I didn’t want to get too complicated without knowing the basics. I’ll upgrade my setup like yours once I get everything working properly (I also bypassed the amp meter for simplicities sake).
