The glass is attached to a bracket. The bracket is attached to the regulator (2 screws). From the inside, you have to roll the regulator up / or down to be able to access the attaching points. Not sure if my description of regulator is what you refer to as rollers, but I can't think of what else it might be. Are you missing the bracket?
Haven't removed the regulator myself, but it has to come out of the access holes in the interior door. I suppose things could go in backwards and that might not allow holes to line up.
