Good for you taking on a 55 second windshield. I would love to some day but it sure sounds like a challenge. To offer a bit of encouragement though, I have done my 55 first windshield with good results.
There is a lot of good advice in the archives. You probably already know to look for jockbolter's posts when it comes to anything glass.
Do you already know about the very good reputation Steel rubber has? They have a video on "roping in" a back window on a 67 Chevy pickup. Lots easier than our 55 second windshield but similar process.
