So I'm getting ready to start dressing my 283 to put in my '59 3100. I have two quick questions. I plan on installing an HEI distributor ( external coil ) on the 283. Will the coil I used on my Langdon HEI for the 235 I had work with the HEI I plan on installing on my 283? My second question. The 283 ( '67 ) I bought does not have a coil bracket that mounts to the intake manifold. I have found a bunch on eBay, but they range from certain years to certain models, Corvette, Belair etc...... They all look the same, is there really a difference in years of coil bracket?
