If it's a 235 , you won't need any muffler ~ I go to the Hollywood cruise ins and etc. Beverly Hills and so on and I've never been stopped as a good running Chevy 6 banger makes a very nice mellow tone ,& won't attract cops attention unless you rev it up & float the valves .
You will need a long exhaust pipe out to the back though .
I've gone through CHP checkpoints this way too , never a problem .
