I assume the '848' head is a better flowing head over mine. When the time comes I will look for one. Thanks for the tips, the number I had in my head was 150-175hp which isn't too bad considering my stock 216 only makes 86hp I believe.
They all flow the same it's that the 848 head has the smallest combustion chamber. The same thing can be accomplished by milling any other head casting however valve train geometry becomes polluted. The Corvette 235 was rated at 150 hp so you're expectations are reasonable and I can also say with some certainty that the documented modifications made to the stovebolt head back in the days before the flow bench did not always improve flow as expected so don't overdo it.
