"stock switch" that's had the wires replaced - there was never multiple wires of the same color any year, there should be light and dark blue to the front lights [check the EZ harness], white, pink, purple go to the rear and brake sw, and I'm sure that color coding was standard by '55, still the same in my '67 manual - again, compare to the EZ harness - and the color codes should be on the wiring diagram in your shop manual ... you should be able to figure out which wire is for which side by checking with an ohmmeter while you manually work the switch, EZ will not be able to help you at all with that switch
