For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Sep 2009 Posts: 433 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Sep 2009 Posts: 433 | If trying to trace your vehicle's history using state registrations you may run into records being purged by the states DMV... Some states purge records if there is inactivity ( 10 years or more in California ) no non ops or being registered... Fires were also a culprit years ago for files being destroyed...
Would states DMV give out that kind of personal information ?
I would think the best way would be word of mouth research, ask the person who you purchased your truck from where they got it from and work backwards as red58 stated... With any luck you might even get some cool history or stories by talking to previous owners...
tobin1959, good luck in finding your trucks history... If you come across some good stories or history post them...
