Get a 12v 1-wire alternator and replace the generator and voltage regulator. Get some threaded rod and a tube and fab up a new support for the alternator. You'll need a new upper adjustable bracket for an alternator available at any parts store for cheap. (if I recall,you have a straight one and you need a curved one so you can adjust the tension)I believe that you also need to reverse the wires on your voltmeter and you're almost done. Don't forget to change ALL of the bulbs in the truck to 12 volt. And TomC, yes he IS attempting to charge a 12v batt with a 6v gen. And it ain't gonna work.
