The 235 is an excellent engine. I have one myself. But, if you even have the faintest thought that you might ever want to restore your truck, or that you might pass it on to someone who will, keep that original 216. Fill it with oil and store it in a dry place if you swap it out.
The most common question I get is "Does it still have the original engine?"
Sadly, all I can say is "no"
