Thanks - I've added a pic of the bushing being pressed out. It was just a 3/4" deep socket in a press.

When I brought the pair of spindles to the machinist, he called me the next day to tell me the once spindle was too worn to accept the new bushing - it just slid through. It happened to be the drivers side.

I was on the hunt for a "new" spindle. A local Stovebolter helped me out and now the front end is reassembled.
