The shifter tower will likely move back about 8 inches. If you have the park brake lever that comes up through the floor on the right of the transmission, you will need to make an adapter for your parking brake. It might be easy to scab some parts from another truck like the 47-54 trucks and run a foot pedal on the driver side, or a pistol grip brake like the 1955-1959 trucks had bolted under the dash.
