Just my opinion Tim but I think the Chinese molds are off. It's been a very long time but I never heard anyone talk about the original Fentons being difficult to install or requiring the steel cup clips to be ground.
Finding gray iron foundrys to cast anything has become a challenge thanks to EPA regulators.
