If you haven't done so already, I suggest that you buy a 1954 Shop Manual (which has wiring diagram) and a 1947-1954 Factory Assembly Manual before you start work on your truck. You will refer to them every day. They may keep you from making mistakes that are not reversible. They are available from most suppliers.
