A very good friend of mine, who built a street rod, just came back from the Delaware MV department. They are using retired State Police for their theft deterrent squad. Anything(antique,classic,home built) that is brought in from out of state, or in state, is run through this squad. They always look for a stamped number on the frame that will match the VIN tag. I was told to go ahead and stamp mine before I go through the lane just to make them satisfied that everything matches. I don't want to stamp it and find out that another number exists on another part of the frame. My truck is legitimate regarding the VIN tag and title, but it is from out of state.
