Your air cleaner is like the one in my '54 3100. It is RPO #216D.

If you want to put a decal on it when you're finished cleaning and painting it, I found a decal at The Filling Station that is the close to pictures in Chevrolet brochures of the period.

I believe that the decal was used on RPO #216D air cleaners throughout AD production. I don't know abour pre-1946.
