This is my first post and need a little help. I bought a 1949 Nebraska 3100 farm truck about 5 weeks ago. I've started to strip it down to the frame to get some PUR on it. I knew the engine was seized when I got it. I find i hard to believe it's the original 216 but I could be wrong. I pulled all the front sheet metal off today and found GBA577406 stamped on the block to the left of the distributor. On the right side there looks like 815 stamped upside down in orange ink. Under that there are raised GM letters with a raised circle with 48 inside it. Does anyone have a clue what engine this be?
