Duke,
I'll try to help...
1. Engine Serial Number 0014940T54Z
0014940 = Unit nomber starting at 0001001 (you have the 14,940th unit).
T = Tonawanda Plant
54 = year
Z = 235 installed in series 1500, 2100 & 2400 passenger cars
2. I can't help with this one.
3. Engine Casting Number 3835913
Look at this number again it should be 3835911 which would indicate it's a 1953-55 235.
The GM 16 is the sand casting mold number. If there was a problem with the casting they know which mold to look at to make adjustments/repairs.
4. Chassis Serial Number SCC 49 4 4SWK
Revisit this number. The 1949 serial numbers for 1-1/2 ton and larger trucks start with the letter "S" (1949), but the second letter is not "C" (series). The third letter "C" = March and the rest of the number is the unit number starting at 1001.
I don't know what the SWK prefix is???
So a 1949 4400 truck serial number could look like this SKC 4944 making it the 3,944th unit.
5. Title Number...GEA839716@14SWK3276.
GEA839716 = this looks like the original engine serial number was used to title the truck.
GEA = 1949, 6000 Series made in Flint.
839716 = Unit number starting at 1001. The number looks big to me and I can't help with the rest of the numbers except to say that 14 is the designation for the Baltimore Assembly Plant.
Hope this helps...
Mike B
