| | | | Joined: Nov 2004 Posts: 65 old truck heaven | | old truck heaven Joined: Nov 2004 Posts: 65 | We have finished the 1946 COE truck. We left the original patina on the truck. We also constructed a new all aluminum bed for it. We use it to haul our other old trucks on the trailer to car & truck shows. It now had a 300HP 350 crate motor with TH350 trans. We put a new rear end in it form a 1985 Chevy 2-ton truck with 4:11-1 gear ratio so we can cruise at 65 on the freeway at 2700 RPM. Thanks to ALL of the fellow stovebolters especially Bill with the yellow 46 COE for your help. It nickname is "Big BoB"...and is named after my father-in-law who drove these trucks for a living.
