Yup, I bent the coil back to where the gauge was reading 100 and then borrowed a temp reading gun from a friend and heated up the end of the temp sending unit and it was off. So I've ordered a new gauge and hopefully it'll be here by the weekend. I figure something that delicate and that old could be replaced giving me peace of mind.
I sure am learning a lot about these old trucks the more I dig into it. Just makes me want to learn more!
